We certainly are blessed to be able to thank them for their service.

Personally, I was blessed that WWII veterans liberated me and my family from Hitler during 1945. I was 10 years old.

They all had a very good time.

The American Legion is the largest military veterans organization in the World and as a proud member I was able to join it due my military service in the U.S.A.F.

WWI Signing of The Armistice

The armistice Signing/Cessation of hostilities at 11 o'clock in the morning of November 11,1918 found the American troops active on all fronts and in several places preparing to attack the enemy line at 12 o'clock noon. The muddy and weary doughboys out in front, sweating, swearing artillerymen at their backs. The tireless engineers and ambulance drivers and teamsters along the roads had no heart to cheer the news when yelling couriers and low flying airplanes finally brought the story of the end of the war. The word was expected, but still doubted at first.
